Mark Smith Coaching Downloads

Greg is Away!! I'm away in Europe on a working vacation from August 21 to sometime in December 2008. So I can't guarantee when (or if!) I'll be available to set up the downloads below - it's a manual process, not automatic. So unless you're willing to wait for a week or two (or maybe more!), I'd recommend holding off on ordering any downloads until I get back.

For those of you who'd rather download the seminars than wait for DVDs to arrive, I've set up http:// and ftp:// access to the Mark Smith Beginning and Advanced Coaching Seminars. Once I have received your payment, I'll email you a username and password that will give you access to download the seminars.

Since the original source files are quite large, I've made 4 versions of the downloads at different compressions, to suit those of you who don't have unlimited download accounts. Here are sample versions of the same videoclip at the different compressions I've used.

Mark Smith Beginning Coaching (~ 2hrs 20min footage)

1. Original Source Files - Full DVD quality - 720x576 pixels at bit rate of 2072kbps. 2.4GB broken into 6 files ~ 400MB each.
2. 720x576 pixels at 1100kpbs. 1.28GB broken into 6 files of ~ 200MB each.
3. 640x480 pixels at 550kpbs. 676MB broken into 6 files of ~ 112MB each.
4. 320x240 pixels at 230kpbs. 294MB broken into 6 files of ~ 50MB each.

Mark Smith Advanced Coaching (~ 2hrs 40min footage)

1. Original Source Files - Full DVD quality - 720x576 pixels at bit rate of 2072kbps. 2.4GB broken into 6 files ~ 400MB each.
2. 720x576 pixels at 1100kpbs. 1.24GB broken into 6 files of ~ 200MB each.
3. 640x480 pixels at 550kpbs. 660MB broken into 6 files of ~ 112MB each.
4. 320x240 pixels at 230kpbs. 285MB broken into 6 files of ~ 50MB each.

Important Note: The first hour and a half of the Advanced Coaching Seminar has some background noise of players playing in the background - the last part is noise free. Most people have no trouble hearing Mark over the noise, but just in case here is a sample video so you can listen for yourself and see whether your ears are up to the job. Purchasing and Prices

I'm selling each 2 hour seminar set for $30 Australian. Since there is some overlap between the two seminars, I'll sell the complete 2 seminars for $40 Australian. If you just want the one set, I'd personally recommend the Advanced Topics seminar, since the Coaching Beginners is more of a 'how to coach new players' approach.

Once I have received your payment, I'll set up a Username and Password for you, so that you can download the seminars via http:// or ftp:// - I'd recommend using ftp:// - especially on the larger files, since it allows you to resume downloads that get interrupted. Please bear in mind that this isn't automatic, I have to manually set it up once I receive notification of your payment. So you may have to wait a while if I am asleep at the time you pay!

Note: Just want to make it clear - you get the downloads instead of the DVDs, not as well as the DVDs. That's why they are cheaper - because I don't have to go to the trouble of making a DVD set and sending them off via postage.
